Sir,

This is to bring to your kind notice the fact that an abnormally high electricity bill of Rs. 4500 has been sent to me (consumer ID No.: 123456789) in the month of August 2022. My bill amount usually varies between Its. 1000 and Rs. 2000-a little high in summer and a little low in winter.

Even the bill amount of the same month of the previous year was Rs. 1200 only. I have not installed any new electrical appliances in my house. The seal of CESC on my meter board is also intact. I think that the meter is not functioning properly. It is recording more units of electricity than I really consume.
